I started FosterCareQandA.com to answer the questions that I often hear as a foster parent. Some of the information provided here is fact, some of it is opinion, but it is all based on real-life fostering experience. Please remember that laws, rules, and regulations are very different in different countries, states, counties, and towns.
About Our Family
My husband and I started fostering in 2012 when we had two young biological children (ages 1 and 3 at the time). Our first foster placement was three siblings - talk about jumping right in with both feet! Since then we've fostered 16 children of every age., and we've adopted one. We've had children leave our home to move in with biological family members; to move in with an adoptive family; because the placement put our other children at risk; and because we felt ill-equipped to handle a child's needs.
If you're interested in the more mundane details of our foster family's everyday life, I invite you to follow me on Facebook at facebook.com/Jasmine.Dee23.
